How do I set Group permissions in Juris Suite?

Group permissions set at the group level affect all users who are members of that group, and are applied along with those permissions that are set at the firm and/or user level. This level is usually used to assign access to more secure areas of Juris Suite.

To set or change feature permissions at the group level:

  1. Click the Juris button in the left-hand corner of the window.
  2. Select Admin > Group Permissions.
  3. In the list on the left, click on the name of a feature type for which you want to change the permission level.
  4. In the list on the right, click on the specific feature you want to change, to select it.
  5. Click on the down-arrow that appears on the right and select the permission setting you want to apply.
  6. Repeat steps 4 - 5 for each specific feature you want to change.
  7. Repeat steps 3 - 5 for each feature type and feature for which you want to change permissions.

    Note

If you want to set permissions for all features under a specific feature type, use the buttons (Grant All, Deny All, or Unset All) at the bottom of the window. These buttons set the permissions all at once, for all features listed on the right.

Permissions are set as you make your changes.

  8. Click the Close button when finished.
