How can I edit the spell check dictionary?

You can add, remove, or edit words in the spell check dictionary for Juris Suite by following the steps below.

The spell check dictionary is contained in a file named Custom.dxf, which is usually on your local computer's hard drive. However, those who are on Citrix server need to look on the Citrix server as opposed to their local computer's hard drive.

To add, remove or edit words in the spell check dictionary:

  1. Location the Custom.dxf file.

    Windows 7 or Windows 8

    C:\Users\your network login name\Local Settings\application data\juris\Dictionary

    Windows XP

    C:\Documents and Settings\your network login name\Local Settings\Application Data\Juris\Dictionary

    Windows Vista

    C:\Users\your network login name\Local Settings\Application Data\Juris\Dictionary

    If on a Citrix server, you need to locate the Custom.dxf file on the Citrix server to which your computer is attached.

  2. Right-click on the Custom.dxf file and then click onEdit with Notepad in Window 7 or Windows 8, or click on Edit With... and then click on Notepad in Windows XP or Windows Vista.
  3. Make the additions and changes you want in the file.
  4. When finished, save the file and close Notepad.
