How do I resolve the "Index out of range" error message?

The “Index out of range” error message occurs when your graphics display settings on your computer are not set for 96 DPI. To resolve the issue, follow the steps below that coincide with your computer's operating system.

ClosedWindows 7

To resolve the issue in Windows 7:

  1. Click Start > Control Panel.
  2. Click on the Display icon.
  3. Click on the Smaller - 100% (default) option to select it.
  4. Click the Apply button.
ClosedWindows Vista

To resolve the issue in Windows Vista:

  1. Click Start > Control Panel.

  2. Type Adjust font size in the search box.

    This takes you directly to the link for the DPI Scaling Utility.

  3. Click on 96 DPI which is the default.
  4. Click OK.
ClosedWindows XP

To resolve the issue in Windows XP:

  1. Click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
  2. Double-click on Display.
  3. Click on the Settings tabe.
  4. Click the Advanced button.
  5. Check the DPI setting. It it is anything other than Normal size (96 DPI) change it to Normal.
  6. Click OK.

  7. Click OK.

Note

A restart of your computer may be necessary after making any of the changes above, in order to see the login buttons correctly.
