Set User Permissions in Juris Suite

User permissions set at the user level affect only that specific user, and are applied along with those permissions that are set at the firm and group level. This level us usually used to set specific permissions on a user by user basis.

To set or change feature permissions at the user level:

  1. Click the Juris button in the left-hand corner of the window.
  2. Select Admin > User Permissions.
  3. In the list on the left, double-click on the name of the person for whom you want to set or change permissions to display the list of feature types.
  4. From the feature types listed on the left, click on the name of a feature type for which you want to change the permission level.
  5. In the list on the right, click on the specific feature you want to change to select it.
  6. Click on the down-arrow that appears on the right and select the permission setting you want to apply.
  7. Repeat steps 5 - 6 for each feature you want to change for this user.
  8. Repeat steps 4 - 6 for each feature type and feature for which you want to change permissions.

    NOTE: If you want to set permissions for all features under a specific feature type, use the buttons (Grant All, Deny All, or Unset All) at the top of the window. These buttons set the permissions all at once, for all features listed on the right.

  9. Repeat steps 3 - 6 for each user you want to change permissions on.

    Permissions are set as you make them.

  10. Click Close when finished.
