Resolve Login Error "Cannot Load Organizational Unit Application"
This error message is displayed when Juris Suite is unable to read the Juris license file.
Check whether the Juris License Manager is installed
Although the core Juris application includes the Juris License Manager, by default the License Manager is not installed during an installation of Juris Suite.
If the License Manager is installed, you will see the file Juris License Manager.exe in the /bin subfolder below your Juris program folder.
If you do not have the License Manager on your computer, you can download and install it.

- Click the following link, or copy and paste it into the address box of your browser and press Enter.
- If prompted, confirm that you want to download the file.
- When the download is complete, unzip the zipped file.
- Run the file JurisLicenseManagerInstall.exe.
- Click Next to continue to the Choose Destination Location page.
- Click Next to accept the default destination folder, or click Browse to specify a different folder.
- When the installation is complete, click Finish to close the wizard.
- Add the Juris license file to your installation. (See section below.)
ftp://jurisftp:mulligan@ftp.juris.net/apps/JurisInstallers/JurisLicenseManager.zip
The InstallShield wizard opens.

After installing the License Manager, you must open it and add your Juris license file.
- In the /bin subfolder below your Juris program folder, run the file Juris License Manager.exe.
- Click the Add button.
- Browse to the folder containing the Juris license file (Juris.lic).
- Click Juris.lic to select it and click Open.
- Click Save.
The Juris License Manager window opens.
TIP: If you are not sure where the file is located, run the License Manager on another Juris workstation and check the Shared Path box, which contains the path to the folder with your license file.
Check settings in the Juris License Manager
If the License Manager is installed but the error still occurs, the License Manager might not be pointing to the correct network location.
To check the network location:
- Run the file Juris License Manager.exe. This file is located in the /bin subfolder below your Juris program folder.
- Select your license in the Licensed Instances of Juris list on the left.
- Read the entry in the Shared Path box on the right. Compare it to the same entry on another computer where you are able to log in to Juris normally.
The Juris License Manager window opens.
NOTE: If the path is different, you will need to remove your current licensed instance of Juris, and add the same license file used by the computer where you are able to log in to Juris normally (see instructions above for adding a license file).
Check Juris entries in the Windows registry
If the License Manager is installed and the Shared Path is correct but the error still occurs, the Juris registry entries might not be configured to give Full Control rights to users.
To configure Juris registry entries:
- Click the Windows Start button.
- Type regedit in the Run or Search programs box and press Enter.
-
Locate the Juris registry folder. The folder's location depends on whether the computer is running a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Microsoft Windows.
- 32-bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Juris
- 64-bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > WOW6432Node > Juris
-
Right-click the Juris registry folder and select Permissions.
The Permissions for Juris window opens.
- In the Group or user names box, select Users.
- In the Permissions for users box, select the check box beside Full Control in the Allow column.
-
Click OK.
NOTE: After making this change, you must run the License Manager and add the Juris license file again (see instructions above).
The Registry Editor window opens.
