Using The App

If I lose my Internet connection or put my phone in flight mode, can I still use the app?

It depends on whether you are already signed in or not.

  • If signed into Juris Go, and the Internet connection goes down, you can continue using the app until you sign out or are automatically signed out due to inactivity. Even with no Internet, while signed in you can create new time entries, adjust draft times, and add narratives to entries. You can also save draft entries locally to your device. Entries saved locally (as opposed to sent to Juris Suite) will appear in the DRAFTS tab. Later, when your Internet connection is up, you can resume using the parts of the app that require connectivity, including: looking up clients, matters, and codes. A connection is also necessary to send entries to Juris Suite, and to view your history.

  • If you are not signed in and there is no Internet connection, as a security measure you won't be able to sign into the app. Juris Go does not store your password on the app, therefore a secure connection is required to authenticate you properly.

How do I create a new Juris Go password?

The answer depends on whether you are already signed into Juris Go or not.

  • While signed in, to create a new password, tap the Settings icon and then tap CHANGE PASSWORD to enter your current and new passwords.

  • If you're not signed in, to reset your Juris Go password from the sign in screen of the Juris Go app, enter your email address, tap Forgot Password, then check your email for password reset instructions.

Your Juris administrator can reset your Juris Go password for you using the Juris Go Manager application..

Can I sign in without an Internet (cellular or WiFi) connection?

To protect your security, Juris Go does not store your password. To properly authenticate your sign in credentials, Juris Go requires an Internet connection.

Does Juris Go work with my phone's speech-to-text?

Juris Go is designed for compatibility with the native speech-to-text capabilities of iOS and Android.

Device and operating system performance limitations can detract from the speech-to-text functionality, especially with older devices. For best results, start by speaking just a few lines of text at a time.

Is there a limit to the number of draft time entries I can have on my device?

Yes. Juris Go allows up to 100 draft entries. Once you reach 100, Juris Go reminds you to send your draft entries into Juris Suite to get caught up entering time and to make space on your device for new entries.

I stopped the timer before the event was finished. What should I do?

You can open a stopped time entry and adjust the duration.

  1. Open Juris Go, sign in, then find the time entry you want to fix listed in the DRAFTS tab.

  3. Tap the timer to stop it if it is still running. It is running if it is red.

What happens if I sign out of the app with a timer still running?

A running timer continues to add time to the Hours field even after you sign out.

When you sign in again, you can tap the timer to pause it. If needed, adjust the duration by tapping the Hours field and changing the entry.

I just sent a draft I started a day or two ago but I don't see it when I tap the HISTORY tab. What might be happening?

  • The filter icon finds your search term anywhere it occurs in any of the fields shown on screen. For example, a matter search for "st" might return results that look like this:

    Matter Description

    Client

    Matter number

    State of Florida v. Jones

    Jones, Angela C.

    05-1020.022

    Finckler v. Instate

    Finckler, Gary

    02-1030.199

    Elizabeth Planning

    Elizabeth, Shannon

    EST 01-3345.098
  • Searches are not case sensitive.

  • Wildcard search is not supported.

  • Special characters and numerals are allowed.

  • Start with 3-4 characters as your search term, then add more characters to the search if you need to narrow the results.

I don't see the rate I want to enter in the rates list. What should I do?

If the rate you want to use does not appear in search results, you can apply the next closest rate. After sending the entry to Juris Suite, open the entry in your timesheet and manually enter the rate you want to use.

What time fields in Juris does Juris Go Hours field correspond to?

If you change the Hours To Bill field in Juris Suite, it will be reflected in Juris Go when you view the time entry.
