The Sort-Group Tab allows you to set up grouping and sorting criteria for the section. Grouping allows the user to apply a heading or calculate a subtotal for the group. The Grouping option should only be used when a group header or subtotal are needed. The sorting selections simply dictate the order that the detail will be sorted when printed.
When a Grouping is applied, then a Group Header and Footer section appears for each group designed. Nested Groups may be designed. The group header and footer will only allow information to be displayed that is applicable to that group. For example, if the fee section is grouped by task code, then the group header will allow the fields of Task Code, Task Code Description and Fees Billed to be placed into the group header and footer for that section. When sorting is applied, the sort items must be in the exact order that they should be printed.
